Modern Warfare 4 U4GM Guide to Tank Parts and X01

Mesaj de EmberQuill »

Threat Briefing gives Modern Warfare 4 DMZ players two very different jobs in Season 1: take apart a Battle Tank in Hajin, then go after The Captain inside X01. Neither is a quick victory lap. You're working across multiple deployments, learning routes, losing the odd loadout and hopefully getting smarter each time. If you're looking at CoD MW4 DMZ Leveling Boosting alongside your own runs, it still pays to understand what each fight asks of you. Season 1 starts on November 6 at 00:00 Eastern, so there's time to get a squad plan together before heading in.

Two fights, two ways to make progress

The tank is the more open fight. Head into Hajin, find the vehicle and bring enough explosive damage to make the trip worthwhile. You can remove one tank part per deployment, with better rewards tied to the number collected over repeated runs. Don't build your whole evening around finishing it in one go. Bring a launcher, spare explosive equipment and armour plates, then pick cover that gives you room to move when the tank turns toward you. Infantry can make a mess of a good firing position, while the noise tends to attract other squads. One teammate watching the surrounding streets is worth far more than another player staring down a launcher sight.

The Captain is a different problem. He's a heavily armoured commander inside X01, a former GRANIT Arms site on Hajin's northern edge. Expect tight passages, several vertical levels and an elite guard ready to pressure your flanks. You're after sections of his helmet, but those only count if you extract successfully. Work out your exit before starting the fight: extraction points close over time, and the closest route might not be available when you need it. Once he's down, grab the section, check your armour and move. That extra room full of loot can wait for another run.

Before you deploy

1. Pack launchers and explosives for the tank.

2. Assign someone to watch infantry and approaching squads.

3. Choose an X01 extraction route before engaging The Captain.

Reality check: I've lost more gear by lingering after a fight than by rushing into one, and that's saying something.

Picking your next run

If your squad can't decide where to spend its gear, the difference comes down to space and extraction pressure. Here's the quick version.

Briefing Target Key concern
Battle Tank One part per deployment Open terrain and rival squads
The Captain Helmet sections Extracting before routes close

Neither route needs your most expensive kit on the first attempt. Take gear you can replace, learn where the pressure comes from and adjust after each run. A DMZ Survival Kit is handy when available; the Battle Pass and Joint Fire event both include them. I'd save a favourite weapon until the squad knows the approach, especially inside X01, where a wrong turn can leave you fighting in a cramped corridor.

What about squad credit

Someone in my squad asked whether everyone needs to carry a helmet section out, or if one successful extraction helps the whole team. It's a fair question when you're deciding who should hold the important item and who should cover the route.

Prelaunch event details say the squad can benefit when one member extracts with the key item. Still, get everyone out if you can; personal gear and progress depend on extraction.

Keep the next deployment in mind

The Boss Board at your forward operating base tracks commanders, including The Captain and a patrolling Wheelson. Commander wins can provide valuable loot, DMZ XP, DMZ Cash and sought-after 3D Printer ingredients. Lieutenants are on the board too, including Knuckle and The Wrench. Their weapon and dog tag case drop when they're defeated, but picking up the tag reveals your position to every operator on the map. That's a choice, not a free payday. Mix in Dynamic Operations when supplies run low; an operation completed earlier in a deployment can still leave you a supply drop worth extracting with. And if you're browsing MW4 Open Beta Early Access Codes for sale, keep your attention on the run in front of you once you're in. A clean extraction with one helmet section beats a backpack full of loot left behind in X01.
Welcome to U4GM, your friendly place for MW4 DMZ ideas, smarter loadouts and smoother runs. Heading into Hajin or X01 Plan each trip, protect your gear and make every extraction count.
